No. It covers enhancements that can be made using the original laser eye surgery procedure. Your sight will naturally change as you age, and a laser procedure cannot correct that, so it is not covered by the laser lifetime care guarantee.
Standard care covers your enhancement for the first 12 months after surgery. The laser lifetime care guarantee goes further, covering you for as long as you are clinically suitable, with no fixed end date. Your optometrist will explain both at your consultation so you can choose what is right for you.
No. The laser lifetime care guarantee applies to laser eye surgery (LASIK and PRK) only. Lens-based procedures such as Lens Replacement Surgery and Phakic IOLs have their own enhancement policy, and our team will explain it if it applies to you.
At Optilase, we are proud to offer a Laser Lifetime Care Guarantee to all of our patients. In the unlikely event that your eyesight should regress (your old prescription starts to return), we offer the corrective laser treatment, known as an enhancement, for free. This comes as standard with all of our Laser Eye Surgery treatments. If the vision deterioration occurs due to the natural aging of the eye, you would not be suitable for a correction.
